本日、白石康次郎は修繕したメインセールを上げる作業に入りました。
メインセールを安全に上げるためには、カーボベルデ諸島のブランケを利用して無風の状態で上げなければいけません。
数人で上げるのも大変な作業ですが、一人で上げるのは至難の技です。
メインセールが上がったら、次は3つ目のバテン、4つ目のバテンの修復作業に移ります。

Today will be the day! Kojiro SHIRAISHI on board of DMG MORI Global One will hoist his main sail and put all the remaining battens in the sail.
He is heading behind Cabo Verde Island where there is a wind shadow, and thus making it easier to hoist the main sail. Hoisting the main sail requires precision and minimal wind. It is very complicated to do so single handedly.
Once the main sail has been hoisted, he will put the third and fourth battens in the sail.
Word of Kojiro SHIRAISHI yesterday. “I need to be patient until the end of this big repair. I will do my best to continue on!”
